Sunday Summaries - 11.06.2023
Renovations, clearing out, a growing blanket and a week with too much sun.
Welcome and welcome back to my creatively chaotic corner of the world! I hope you all had a lovely week! Mine wasn’t quite as productive as I would have hoped, but it wasn't possible with temperatures being as high as they were. We did get some things done, though.
On Monday, we got our gas connection done, and in September, we’re supposed to get our new heating system. I’m saying *supposed* - it could be pushed back because of the difficulties in the supply chains. We had to switch options because the one we originally wanted would have been here in December. That’s too late, and I’d rather not live in a freezer.
Additionally, we made some progress in emptying the wardrobes, closets, and the first boxes of books. We’re also getting our electrics done, and we don’t want things to get too hectic when the time comes. My four-legged menace loves the adventure park our house has turned into - but only if no strangers or men are around. Then she is nowhere to be seen.
Over the last week, the temperatures have already reached 29°C in the shade with something around 35/36°C in the sun. Neither my cat nor me nor the rest of the family do well in such temperatures. So we only did the most necessary things before hiding out inside. Thank god for old houses. - I think I’m repeating myself here, but it’s still true.
Anyway, I have been reading a lot during those hiding hours. Mostly writing theory but some fiction as well. Other than that, I knitted a lot. Not on the jumper I started this year but on the blanket. Granted, it takes a long time to actually see some progress there because of the sheer size of the project. But I added another whole pattern this week. I’ll add a photo below to see what I’m talking about
Alright, last week, I promised to let you know when the Knitting Project Post will be out. I plan to send that one out on the 17th - so the day before the next Sunday Summaries will be out.
Until then, have a lovely week!
